18 Tons of Frozen Fish Recalled

FSIS surveillance activities helped catch the improperly imported products.

Crab House Trading Corporation of a Los Angeles is recalling approximately 36,040 pounds of frozen Siluriformes (catfish) products imported from Vietnam, specifically yellow walking fish, that were produced without the benefit of federal inspection. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) made the announcement.

These items were shipped to retail and wholesale locations in California. The problem was discovered by FSIS during follow-up surveillance activities. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.
