Mondelēz Global LLC has issued a limited, voluntary recall in the United States of certain 13-ounce packages of Chewy Chips Ahoy cookies. The recall is in response to the potential inclusion of an unexpected solidified ingredient, which has now been identified as corn starch that didn't fully break down during the mixing process. Some reports of potential adverse health effects have been received.

This recall is limited exclusively to products with "Best When Used By" dates of September 7, 8, 14 and 15, 2019. The cookies in question were shipped to retail stores around the U.S.
