The voluntary recall is in response to CDC and FDA investigations of 13 illnesses caused by Salmonella.

Ground Tuna

Jensen Tuna of Louisiana is voluntarily recalling frozen ground tuna imported from JK Fish due to fears of potential Salmonella contamination. The frozen product, individually packaged in clear plastic one-pound bags, is sold in white wax 20-pound boxes.

The tuna in question was sold to wholesalers in Connecticut, Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, North Dakota, New York and Washington. These wholesalers further distributed the product to restaurants and retail locations from November 30, 2018 to March 15, 2019.

in addition to not selling the product being recalled, the area where it may have been stored should also be washed and sanitized. The voluntary recall is in response to CDC and FDA investigations of 13 illnesses caused by Salmonella. As of today, the ground tuna samples were found negative for Salmonella.
