Worker Shocked at Corn Processing Plant

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA (AP) — Authorities say a worker has been flown to an Iowa City hospital after being seriously hurt at a Cedar Rapids ADM corn processing plant.

Television station KCRG reports the accident happened just after 10 a.m. Friday, when authorities were called to the ADM site.

Officials say the 58-year-old man was conscious when first responders arrived and had injuries consistent with an electrical shock.

ADM officials say the man was an employee with a construction company at the plant who came into contact with overhead power lines.

The man's name and medical condition have not been released.
