Salmonella Triggers Dog Food Recall

Not only should the products be discarded, but thrown away in a secure container where other animals, including wildlife, cannot access it.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is asking consumers to discard three lots of Darwin’s Natural Pet Products dog food because samples from those lots have tested positive for salmonella. Those who are in possession of the products from the affected lots should stop feeding it to  pets and throw it away "in a secure container where other animals, including wildlife, cannot access it."

The products, which are being recalled by the manufacturer, include:

  • Darwin’s Natural Pet Products Natural Selections Chicken Recipe with Organic Vegetables for Dogs
  • Darwin’s Natural Pet Products Natural Selections Turkey Recipe with Organic Vegetables for Dogs

They were manufactured between October 19 and November 11, 2018. The affected products are manufactured by Arrow Reliance Inc., which does business as Darwin’s Natural Pet Products, The frozen products being recalled were shipped to customers across the U.S.
