Supplement Recalled for Potential Salmonella Contamination

Sunstone Organics is voluntarily recalling two lots of Kratom. The dozen products related to the recall have been found to potentially be contaminated with salmonella. Kratom is a natural supplement often used to help treat pain. 

The product is used as a tea or supplement and is packaged in three different-sized, kraft stand-up pouches in both capsule and powder form. Sunstone Organics has not received any reports of adverse events related to this recall. These products were distributed to retail outlets in Oregon, Washington, California and Nebraska.

The recall is being conducted with the knowledge of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
