15 Tons of Contaminated Ground Beef Recalled

The packages subject to the recall range in size from one to 10 pounds.

Toppenish, Washington-based Washington Beef, LLC is recalling approximately 30,260 pounds of ground beef that may be contaminated with extraneous materials, according to an announcement from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service. The packages, or chubbs, were processed on December 27, 2018. The packages subject to the recall range in size from one to 10 pounds.

These items were shipped nationwide and discovered by a consumer complaint on February 28, 2019. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.
