Strips are protected from damage by outer covering of nonconductive rubber that allows actuation angles up to 90 deg. If moving part with safety edge strikes operator, or vice versa, safety edge is depressed and will send signal to power source to stop. Applications include gates, doors, machines, automatic mixers, and scissor lifts.
