HLR 750 Series of ¾” diameter LVDT position sensors, installed on turbine shells, measure shell expansion, providing linear output to help determine thermal growth during startup, operation and shutdown. Also used to monitor bearing vibration to detect bearing clearance limits indicative of bearing wear. Series offers contactless position measurement and temperature ranges of -65º F (-55ºC) up to 300° F (150°C) critical in power plant applications. Available in full-scale measurement ranges from ±1 inch to ±10 inches, they feature high resolution, repeatability typically better than 0.01% of full scale and non-linearity of less than 0.25% of full range output.
