Phoenix inspects round and square holes, slots, and spherical features on car bodies and computer chassis, as well as flush-and-gap tolerances on car and truck body parts. Hybrid system combines high-resolution image processing benefits of CCD camera in X-Y plane with multiple laser triangulations for measuring Z plane. Triangulation is produced in 2 orthogonal directions. Sensor is 120 x 120 x 90 mm, with working distance from measured feature up to 100 mm.
