Nanogel TLD201 aerogel is made from amorphous silica chemically treated to create highly hydrophobic material. Its structure, low density, and particle size produce effective matting performance through light scattering on surface of coating, resulting in reduction of gloss even in difficult-to-matte coatings. Other benefits include scratch resistance, resistance to water and corrosion, and weatherability. It can be used in aqueous, 100% solids, and solvent-based formulations.
