For vertical applications, lead screws can be designed to self-lock and prevent back driving. Sliding motion between nut and screw converts rotary input to linear output motion, providing optimal accuracy. Manufactured from Type 303 stainless steel, lead screws come in 1/8 to 15/16 in. standard dia with 0.02 to 3 in. standard leads.
