Attaching directly to Profibus or Profinet network, IO-Link Expansion Module enables users to attach up to 4 intelligent IO-Link sensors up to 20 m away using 3-conductor M12 cordsets. Sensor hubs allow connection of 16 standard discrete sensors to network per hub. Up to 4 hubs per expansion module can be put on each node, for total of 76 sensors per Profibus node. Sensors are available in range of sensing technologies, including distance feedback, RFID, and pressure monitors.
