Maguire MGF Series feeds colorants and additives into plastics processing machines more accurately than volumetric feeders yet at same price range. Modular design allows all main feeder components to be removed separately, reducing time spent changing colors or jobs. System uses load cells to monitor loss in weight of colorant in hopper as auger feeds material into processing machine. Loss-in-Weight software in feeder control scans data on color consumption every half-second and automatically adjusts dispensing when predetermined amount of accumulated error is detected.
