Using photoionization detector (PID) as sensing element, BevAlert Model 8900 tests CO2 for presence of acetaldehyde and benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene, and xylene. Gas chromatograph includes hinged front panel for easy access to PID detector for service and maintenance. It can be used by food and beverage industry as well as specialty gas manufacturers to monitor and eliminate trace VOCs in CO2 used in bottling beverages.
