Capable of drilling large dia holes, SST Icecut uses HSS-XE tool steel, fully ground to proprietary geometry before entering step hardening process that provides hardness of 12% cobalt tool steel without brittleness. After step hardening process, cutter goes through surface coating process, which lays down 15 layers of coating material that is harder than carbide. It has universal shank allowing cutter to be used in all makes of magnetic drills and milling machines.
