Technologies for the New Year…

…along with a few predictions. What do you think and what can you add?

Wireless is hot across the board. 802.11 is a wonderful thing. More, better, stronger, and easier to setup security would be nice. I’ve spoken with several people in IEN’s world and, consistently, when I’ve asked them about their wireless security, they’ve said it’s too much of a hassle, so why bother? Who would try to get into a factory-floor wireless system, anyway? It’ll happen…likely this year...
