Decontactors are approved by UL for use in motor and branch circuit disconnect switching. They help simplify compliance to NFPA 70E electrical safety requirements because Decontactors maintain a NFPA 70E defined hazard/risk category “0” during electrical equipment connection and disconnection processes.
