Federal Process Corporation was founded in 1915 as a manufacturer of pipe thread sealants developed specifically for use in the emerging petroleum manufacturing and distribution industry. Today, the scope of Federal Process Corporation’s product line and markets served has expanded dramatically…but Gasoila® is still the preferred thread sealant used in the installation of petroleum equipment throughout the world.

Our Gasoila® Chemicals Division offers a diverse line of quality products for the petroleum, plumbing, LP Gas, HVAC, automotive and general industrial markets. From industrial thread sealants and cutting oils to gas gauging pastes and industrial cleaning chemicals, Gasoila® has long been the professional’s choice for tough, reliable chemical products that get the job done.
In 1996, Federal Process acquired J&B Products, one of the country’s leading specialty manufacturers of plastic plumbing fittings used in residential and commercial drain-line applications. In 1999, J&B Products purchased the rights to the well known and highly regarded Allen Tubular® brand name. But manufacturing quality plumbing products was not enough. In order to consolidate and streamline the manufacturing and distribution functions, Federal Process merged Schaul Specialties, a distributor of plumbing specialty products acquired in 1992, into J&B Products.
Federal Process Corporation’s Advanced Adhesives and Sealants Division manufactures a proprietary line of machinery used in the application of PTFE tapes and industrial sealing compounds. Marketed under the Thred Taper® and EverSeal® brand names, these innovative machines and pre-applied liquid thread sealants offer manufacturers a way to cut production costs while ensuring leak proof transmission of a variety of liquids and gases.
In 2002, Federal Process acquired FedChem, Inc., a worldwide manufacturer of aluminum organic chemicals marketed under the Manalox® and Kolate® brand names for use in the grease and ink industries. In June, 2003, FedChem’s Bethlehem, Pennsylvania manufacturing facility became ISO 9000 certified, an achievement which underscores FedChem’s commitment to quality.
Almost 100 years after the introduction of Gasoila® Hard-Set, Federal Process Corporation has remained steadfast in its commitment to quality, growth and market leadership.
