Vacuum Equipment

Description

Vacuum equipment initiate automatic or manual discharge of material from one place to another. The term “vacuum equipment” includes a large range of vacuum-operated machines, devices and instruments that are used for diversified industrial applications. Vacuum equipment performs a variety of functions like cleaning, excavating, loading, unloading, material handling, etc. They can be portable/stationary, and can function as standalone or can be a component of a central vacuum system. Stationary units are either wall mounted or floor mounted. Industrial vacuum systems are powered by gasoline, electricity, compressed air or diesel. Vacuum productions in industrial vacuum equipment are through four basic systems such as turbine, regenerative, centrifugal or positive displacement. Vacuum equipment are available in different configurations based on their specific application.

Types

Some of the basic types of vacuum equipment are given below:

  • Vacuum cleaners
  • Vacuum hoists
  • Vacuum filters
  • Vacuum chambers
  • Vacuum cups
  • Vacuum pads
  • Vacuum flanges and fittings
  • Vacuum gauges and fittings
  • Vacuum furnaces
  • Vacuum manipulators
  • Vacuum ovens
  • Vacuum pumps
  • Vacuum sensors
  • Vacuum valves

 Features

Vacuum equipment has many features such as:

  • Portable vacuum equipment facilitate easy movement during operations
  • Vacuum pumps are used to produce partial vacuums
  • Vacuum gauges, sensors and instruments are used in the measurement of sub-atmospheric or vacuum pressure
  • Industrial vacuums have the capability to handle large amount of liquids and/or materials
  • Well suited for indoor and outdoor applications
  • Bulk, heavy duty vacuum operations are handled easily by vacuum equipment

Applications

The various applications of vacuum equipment are:

  • Vacuum equipment contribute towards power savings in conveyance systems
  • Vacuum hoists are used in material handling systems for loading and unloading assembly lines of wave shape slates, planates, freezers, automobiles, televisions, etc
  • Sub-atmospheric pressure provided by vacuum pumps is used in a variety of scientific and industrial vacuum applications
