Lighting
Description:
Lighting equipment provides illumination as well as some aesthetic effect. Both the appearance and function of living areas and work areas can be enhanced by proper lighting. Lighting can be from artificial sources such as electrical lighting or natural day light illumination. In the past, the main lighting sources were gas lighting, candles, and lamps. However, modern lighting includes light fixtures, modern table lamps, and modern floor lamps. Different varieties of light fixtures are available to deliver lights from lightings such as hall/foyer fixtures, chandeliers, pendants, ceiling fixtures, portable lamps, wall-mounted fixtures, and under cabinet fixtures. To get best efficient lighting, the following features should be considered: light quantity (illumination, lumen, and foot candle), energy consumption (efficacy), light quality (color temperature, color rendition, glare), and lighting uses.
