Description

Data security software, also known as encryption software, is programmed to protect the data from getting corrupted. It controls the unauthorized access of personal data or information. Disk Encryption Software

Disk encryption software uses the encryption technology that encrypts data on the hard disk. Such software encrypts data stored on a computer's mass storage system and transparently decrypts the information when an authorized user requests for it: no special action by the user is required. Only a password or passphrase is required at the beginning of a session. Some types also provide plausible deniability with deniable encryption techniques.

Backup Software

The backup software performs a full back up copy of a data, file, database, server or system. Back up software program makes a duplicate copy of everything which is in the original source.

Data Masking Software

Data masking software, which is the masking of structured data, is the process where specific data within a database table or cell is obscured for reasons of maintaining security and to ensure that sensitive information is not disclosed to unauthorized personnel.

Data Erasure Software

Data erasure means completely erasing (destroying) all electronic data existing in the hard drive or in other digital media; this ensures that sensitive data is not leaked when an asset is to be retired or is to be reused.
