Cable & Hose Carriers
Description
Cable and hose carriers organize cables, chains, and hoses (conduits) through a series of flexible links. They help in supply of energy (liquid, gas, or electricity) from its source to machine parts or a moving mechanism. The various components in this system are mounting brackets, shelves, connectors, strain relief, separation elements and cables or hoses. Strain relief is provided at each end of the cable carriers to keep hoses or hoses in position. Carriers are manufactured either from materials such as steel or from non metallic materials like fiber reinforced nylon. The parameters to be considered for cable/hose carriers are total travel distance, bend radius, direction, and orientation of travel, mounting bracket position, carrier system contents, operating speeds, acceleration, dimensional limitations, environmental conditions and operating temperature.
