Video Gauge uses laser for 3D surface analysis

Through-the-lens (TTL) autofocus improves scanning accuracy of tabletop Model VMR-3020 and bridge-style VMR-6555. Each scans 1,000 points/sec with TTL on, but achieves faster Z-axis measurement with it off. Telecentric optics and 15x zoom capability yield high resolution. Search capabilities of bundled software lower fixturing costs and perform pattern matching for better analysis of complex shapes. Retractable LED ring-fiber illumination highlights low-contrast edges. Model VMR-3020 measures in 300 x 200 x 150 mm envelope; Model VMR-6555, 650 x 550 x 150 mm.
