Shuttle™ XP Vertical Lift Module (VLM) provides increased levels of storage capacity by storing items in 1 in. increments, saving up to 85% of previously wasted floor space.

Users can store various-sized parts within the VLM, which comes fully loaded with shelf rails, on which trays are stored, for 100% dynamic storage capacity. Shuttle XP VLM's 1 in. shelf rail positioning can provide up to 50% more capacity than traditional VLMs. Remstar's technology combines controls, dual level tray spacers, shelf rails, and light curtain to scan every tray's height automatically.

For example, a tray with a 3.1 in. tall box placed for storage would automatically be stored in a 4 in. high area of the Shuttle XP VLM. The system measures the box as it passes onto the lift platform and dynamically determines that a 4 in. high space is needed. Without this dynamic allocation for height, the box would be stored in a fixed space. The standard Shuttle XP VLM can also now handle heavier loads up to 132,000 lb and reach up to 65 ft tall to maximize overhead storage cube. Optional 34 in. tray depths provide even greater space savings and increased capacity within the same unit.
