Unmanned Systems for the Military

CoroWare’s CoroBot and Explorer lines of mobile robots are available for military use as a result of a recent agreement. CoroWare Technologies, a subsidiary of CoroWare, Inc. has entered into a distribution agreement with unmanned systems (UMS) integration company Auxilia, Inc. Under the agreement, Auxilia has expanded its UMS product offerings to include CoroWare’s CoroBot and Explorer (shown right) mobile robotic product lines.

“In our first sale together, to the next generation of U.S. Army Junior Leadership, we are gratified to provide the latest tactical unmanned system,” said Donald DeVito, CEO of Auxilia. “Using the CoroWare system, we will train in tactics, techniques, and procedures to extend the capabilities of the soldier in the field.”

Aiding in Research and Development

CoroBot (shown left) and Explorer are four-wheeled mobile robots with open-ended designs to facilitate research and development. Equipped with 1.5 and 2.0 GHz CPU processors respectively, CoroWare’s family of robots are capable of running robust applications.  Ample mounting space on both machines enables developers to add peripheral hardware such as laser range finders, GPS, and other environmental sensing equipment.

Auxilia’s core business is to facilitate, develop, and apply UMS applications in military, government, and private sectors. By extending the capabilities of these sectors, Auxilia meets the challenges of global defense, homeland and infrastructure security, and emergency response through the use of air, land, and aquatic unmanned systems.

“We are excited to include Auxilia as a distributor of the CoroBot and Explorer platforms,” said Jon Mandrell, vice president of CoroWare.  “I believe their presence in the homeland security and military markets can open doors that may otherwise be closed to small companies like CoroWare.”
