Flocat's C-ES45-C family of 2-8 in. turbine meters uses one moving part: a precision-machined helical rotor. Its rotation is electronically detected and processed. High-quality jewel bearings and polished tungsten-carbide shafts minimize friction while providing long wear life in nonlubricating fluids. The entire rotor assembly is removable for field service, without removing the meter body from the pipe.
- Plastic bodies are fabricated from Schedule 80 PVC fittings; the insert, machined from one solid piece of PVC, is held in place by stainless steel screws. Turbine rotors are machined from PVDF.
- Stainless bodies are fabricated from T-304 stainless steel. The standard turbine insert is a single piece casting in stainless steel with a stainless flange. Turbine rotors are machined from PVDF.
- Carbon steel bodies are fabricated from carbon steel tubing. The standard turbine insert is manufactured from a single piece stainless steel casting and turbine rotors are machined from PVDF.
Modular electronics (identical to the C-ES75-A002) can be mounted on the sensor to display flow rate and total as well as provide a programmable pulse output. Other meter mounted electronic options are a blind 4-20 mA transmitter (C-ES70-A002) and a battery-powered rate and total display with pulse output (C-ES75-A007). Electronic modules are also available as remote mount units that can be located up to 2,000 ft away.
Suitable for liquids, turbine meters can be used for chemical feed control, industrial applications and automation, waste and water treatment, water utility monitoring, and pulp, paper, and cellulose mills.
