Non-Teflon Thread Sealant lubricates metal pipes; Teflon variety handles all other types of pipe. Both avoid hardening, cracking, or shrinking on water, gas, steam, and air lines. Nontoxic, lead-free, and nonstaining sealant can be used for potable water, acids, chemicals, and virtually any type of liquid or gas. It maintains its properties over time and won't degrade chemically, withstanding temperatures up to 500°F, up to 3,000 psi on gas lines, and up to 10,000 psi on lines containing fluids.
