SmartScope Quest 650 Has 5-Axis Measurement Capability

Large-measurement-volume dimensional metrology system SmartScope® Quest™ 650 now includes programmable 5-axis measuring capability. Motorized heavy-duty dual rotary indexer allows SmartScope Quest sensors to measure features anywhere on the most complex parts. OGP MeasureMind® metrology software supports simultaneous 5-axis motion, keeping coordinate system aligned with rotating part to accurately measure complex parts such as turbine blades, vanes, and airfoils.

Designed to measure a wider variety of part features in a single setup, SmartScope Quest 650 includes high-speed linear motors, large working volume, support of various sensors (video, laser, touch probe, microprobe), and ability to switch between sensors at any point in a measurement routine. It measures complex parts quickly, easily, and accurately, reducing costs and increasing productivity.

Quest 650''s high magnification TeleStar® zoom lens, designed specifically for precision video metrology, provides a clear, high contrast image with virtually no distortion.

Granite base and thermally stable Meehanite® bridge provide stability over an XYZ measurement volume of 24 x 26 x 12 in. (600 x 660 x 300 mm). Z-axis range can be extended to 16 in. (400 mm). High speed, liquid cooled, linear-motor-driven stages and 50 nanometer scale resolution provide high throughput and accuracy.

Four models are available, together with several software options, including applications for CAD import, 2D and 3D contour analysis and fitting, shop floor user interface, and customized report generation and data export.
