Disc coupling provides torsionally rigid operation with no backlash. Three standard models come with 6-, 8-, and 10-bolt disc-to-hub attachment, covering nominal torque range of 5,100-7,700,000 lb-in. Disc profile and thickness allow angular misalignment from 1.5 deg/disc pack in small 6-bolt units to 0.4 deg/disc pack in large 10-bolt versions. Axial displacement ranges from 0.083-0.295 in., depending on coupling size. Standard hub bores are for cylindrical and tapered shafts up to 13 in. dia. Applications include high-speed electric motor, reciprocating engine, or gas turbine drives.
