Ergonomic software solution provider Remedy Interactive has become the first U.S. company in its niche to receive approval by the U.S. Dept of Commerce for membership in the Safe Harbor program. The Safe Harbor program is the U.S.'s answer to the European Union's belief that U.S. standards for data security do not adequately protect Internet users.

Acceptance into this program certifies that Remedy Interactive adheres to certain privacy and data protection standards that the European Union requires, and states that Remedy Interactive's WorkWell ergonomics solution exceeds all current U.S. privacy and data protection requirements.

Remedy Interactive places a top priority on security issues. General Electric, Visa, ChevronTexaco, Hewlett-Packard, and Intel use WorkWell, and there have been no breaches of security at any installation at any time. WorkWell is available in 12 languages and is being used in 17 countries.
