IEN: Have strides been made in: Risk management? Integrated systems design? Emergency response? Hazard controls? Computer security? Crisis management? Please explain.
Landuyt: RF IDeas' AIR ID is a significant addition to solving employees' problems and difficulties associated with identifying themselves to the various computers and computer-driven kiosks throughout the manufacturing and industrial environments. This includes computer security, time/attendance, process and quality control as related to employee identification. The difficulty is identifying the employee with the multitude of different systems and their requirements. Many applications are homegrown, driven by embedded controllers, or found in countless PCs and kiosks. Oftentimes the same employee is required to have 5-10 different forms of identity and is expected to land this information into several different named fields on the screen. The result is errors, frustration, and lack of valid information.
RF IDeas has created a solution where all forms of identity can be stored securely onto an employee's contactless smart card (lifetime warranted). This identity information is stored in such a way so that the card can interface to any existing software and land the data into the correct fields -- every time! This horizontal solution can be applied to computer logon security, QA, process control, toolcrib, as well as web-based applications. In addition, the contactless card can open doors and be made available for time/attendance terminals.
IEN: What innovations can be expected in security equipment and systems, software, training, and elsewhere?
Landuyt: This AIR ID innovation is cost effective since no software is deployed. Because no software is deployed, there is no training, systems development, or software.
