The new Eurostyle™ Plug Terminal Block with Spring Clamp from Molex® is easily and quickly wired and may be unplugged without unwiring for replacement of faulty or damaged electronics. Applications include a wide range of industrial uses, including automation, motion and process controls as well as telecommunications equipment, HVAC systems and power supplies.
A pre-loaded stainless steel spring clamp enables installers to secure termination reliably and securely. With horizontal and perpendicular spring actuation slots, termination may be accomplished for many orientations.
The plug and header system features a positive latching mechanism with audible "click" that is resistant to vibration and prevents plug movement. This frees up hands for quicker termination and lower applied costs.
To minimize the potential for mismating, the system offers a polarizing feature and blind-mating capabilities. A dual beam female contact enables repeatable, gas tight connections.
Available in two to 24 circuits, these terminal blocks have 5.08mm (.200 in.) pitch and use 14 to 24 AWG. Field service rated at 300 volts for 10 Amps with 14 AWG wire, operating temperatures are - 40°C to 140°C. The system uses phosphor bronze contacts and hot tin dip plating (also available in gold).
The insulator is also surface mount compatible (SMC), made of high temperature polyamide polymer with a 94 V-O high flammability rating, eliminating wave soldering.
