Five-turn screw on World-Beam Series QS18 adjusts cutoff from 20-100 mm for easy suppression of background interference. Sensor detects minimally reflective objects, even against close-in reflective backgrounds, with 700 msec response and 175 msec repeatability. Bright LEDs indicate status; SPDT switch and NPN or PNP output each switch 100 mA circuits. Polycarbonate/ABS alloy housing measures 34.5 x 15 x 21 mm, carries IP 67 and NEMA 6 ratings, and tolerates 32-131°F. Sensor comes with 4-wire PVC cable 2 or 9 m long, or with 150 mm pigtail with quick-disconnect. It requires 10-30 Vdc and protects itself against reverse polarity, overvoltage, and transients.
