Linear Heat Sensor Works in Hard-to-Protect Areas

Flexible, durable, and cost-effective, the LHS™ Linear Heat Sensor fixed-temperature fire detector cable is designed to protect a wide range of commercial and industrial fire applications, including areas where spot-type heat detectors are not effective such as belt conveyors, tunnels, aircraft hangars, and classified hazardous areas.

The small diameter cable is capable of detecting heat from a fire over its entire length. Heat causes the LHS cable's special insulation to melt at a specific temperature, allowing the two conductors to short together, thus creating an alarm condition on the fire control panel.

The LHS is available in five alarm temperatures: 155°F, 185°F, 220°F, 350°F, and 465°F, and connects directly to the initiating circuit of any fire alarm panel. When used with the Kidde PEGAsys™ intelligent control panel and discrete addressable LHS cable zones, the LHS can locate fire by zone.
