Designed with an innovative philosophy, Omron''s F3SN-A Type 4 safety light curtain contains all of the features within the light curtain itself, rather than in an external control box. For easier programming functionality, the F3SN-A uses a handheld programmer, with which a user can set up all programmable features through a simple copy and paste function. Sequential floating blanking keeps track of the order in which beams are broken, to provide a higher level of safety in a floating condition. And F3SN-A''s auxiliary output can be programmed for multiple features. The auxiliary output can be set to light ON, dark ON, light diagnosis, lockout, outermost beam, blanking, and specified beam.
Users can serially connect up to three F3SN-A safety light curtains, allowing for added protection against multiple hazards or access points. The F3SN-A also has a fast response time, with safety relay outputs at 25ms, enabling the designer to mount the light curtain closer to the point of hazard.
The unit has been independently tested to meet today''s safety standards. It is EN61496-1 and IEC61496-2 compliant, and UL certified. The F3SN-A meets the provisions outlined in ANSI/RIA 15.06, ANSI B11.1990 and OSHA. It is ideal for integration to Category 4 safety systems for such industries as automotive, robotics, machine tool, and packaging.
The F3SN-A is available in single beam increments, so users can order the size they need without overpaying. More than 240 lengths, ranging from 189-1822 mm. Standard sizes are available in 100 mm increments, from 200-1100 mm, and in 6 in. increments from 12-72 in.
