Without human intervention, the Lightning Hi-Dynamic Laser System loads blanks, cuts intricate shapes, unloads finished products, destroys skeletons, and files reports. CAD drawings imported into the system are rapidly converted to laser cutting programs, parts are automatically nested, and cutting sequences optimized.
System uses limited divergence, Rofin SLAB series CO2 lasers for speed, accuracy, flexibility, and efficiency. Gaussian power density distribution of k>0.9 plexiglas burn delivers high-speed cutting, low energy costs, minimal laser gas consumption, and reduced startup time. Robust construction includes a sturdy central load-bearing frame and patented airplane-type head positioner. Structural strength enables the Lightning to take full advantage of the high acceleration potential of its linear motors for increased positioning accuracy and high dynamics.
The Lightning is available as a standalone machine, a scalable building block for future system integration, or as a complete laser cell with ASRS and robot.
