Frommelt Safety to Become Rite-Hite Machine Guarding

The name change is part of an overall initiative to further strengthen and focus on the Rite-Hite brand.

Milwaukee, WI (August 15, 2014) – Frommelt Safety Products, a division of Rite-Hite Doors, will change its name to Rite-Hite Machine Guarding, effective September 1, 2014. The name change is part of an overall initiative to further strengthen and focus on the Rite-Hite brand, according to the company.

The announcement follows the streamlining of the product line that the machine guarding division undertook earlier this year. In similar fashion, Frommelt Products, a subsidiary of Rite-Hite, changed its name to Rite-Hite Environmental Enclosures earlier this year.

Product Portfolio Continues

The company reported that the name change will not affect the current product portfolio. Rite-Hite Machine Guarding will continue to focus production on its machine guarding products, including automated barrier doors, industrial fencing and retractable curtains for robotic and automated welding processes in metal manufacturing, automotive, material handling, paper/packaging, and plastics among other industries.

Brand names for those products include Defender, Flashfold, Vertiguard, SlideAir, Rollshield, Rollshield Side-To-Side, X-Ten, and Roboguard Fence.

Industrial Safety

“This name change clarifies who we are, what we offer, and emphasizes Rite-Hite’s commitment to improving industrial safety through quality and innovation,” Eric Esson, Rite-Hite Machine Guarding’s national sales & marketing manager, said. “We want our customers to know that the machine guarding products are and always have been a part of the Rite-Hite family of innovative, high-quality products.”

Rite-Hite manufactures, sells, and services loading dock equipment, industrial doors, safety barriers, HVLS fans, industrial curtain walls, and other products designed to improve safety, security, productivity, energy consumption, and environmental control. www.ritehite.com
