St. Louis, December 9, 2008 -- FKI Logistex®, a leader in integrated material handling solutions, will host three innovative material handling seminars at ProMat 2009, January 12-15 in Chicago, Illinois. The 45-minute seminars will address key issues facing today’s distribution centers (DC) and supply chains and will take place each day of the show Monday through Wednesday.
The first of the seminars, Metrics that Matter: Top 5 Key Performance Indicators for your DC, will be held on Monday, January 12 at 12:45 p.m. in Theater D. Hosted by Jerry Koch, product director, software and controls for FKI Logistex North America, the seminar focuses on methods of measuring DC performance. Attendees will learn best practices for monitoring the top performance metrics and the role of dashboards in facility optimization.
The second seminar, Integrated Fulfillment Solutions for Today’s Supply Chain, will take place on Tuesday, January 13 at 4:00 p.m. in Theater B. Hosted by Tom Brady, vice president, Solutions Development Group, and Luther Webb, director, distribution technology for FKI Logistex North America, the session provides insight into some of the key factors reshaping today’s supply chains, such as globalization, geopolitics, sustainability, and energy. Attendees will learn how these changing factors are impacting fulfillment solutions and how automation can create a competitive advantage in this specific business environment.
The third seminar in the series, Get More for Less -- Steps to Revitalize an Aging Distribution System, will take place on Wednesday, January 14 at 10:30 a.m. in Theater C. Hosted by John Naylor, major systems sales manager for FKI Logistex North America, the session will show attendees that by adding technologies to an older system, companies can experience new efficiencies and higher throughputs. Specifically, attendees will learn about opportunities to facilitate SKU and/or store growth with their existing DCs and how to add flexibility for ongoing market and business changes.
“This year at ProMat, our seminar program is stronger than ever and continues to address the most important issues facing the material handling industry,” said Steve Ackerman, president, FKI Logistex North America. “Show attendees will have the opportunity to hear FKI Logistex experts offer innovative answers to some of the most demanding needs across the supply chain.”
An on-demand audio webinar and accompanying PowerPoint of each session will be available for download at the end of the ProMat 2009 show.
The FKI Logistex booth (#1003) at ProMat 2009 will be located directly across from the show entrance and will feature a variety of the latest material handling technologies, including the company’s new Logistex Case Conveyor Solutions product family.
