While not quite up to the gold standard of their major competitor, FactoryMation has nonetheless created a very worthwhile site for industrial buyers. Offered are a couple of different paths to products, including the homepage list and the Products tab, through which an attractive page with thumbnails is presented. Selection guides are offered for most products in PDF form; interactive configuration may make it easier for some visitors. Next level down is another list, this one including specific products, brief descriptions, pricing, and shopping functionality. Clicking on links at that point moves you to useful, bulleted specs and features, along with crisp, valuable PDFs of the related catalog pages, dimensions, and installation data. Tell a Friend, included here, is a handy information-sharing tool that surprisingly few industrial sites include. The site could be greatly improved with whitepapers. case histories, freely available downloads, and CAD drawings.
