Don’t let the simple, easy-to-use homepage deceive you—someone has put a lot of thought, planning, effort into this site and in doing so, makes it look deceptively easy. Specific products are only a few clicks away from the homepage, and that path is quick and easy to follow. One on the product pages, depending upon the specific offering, you’ll find to-the-point, bulleted features and benefits along with PDF datasheets, links to supplies and accessories and related details, user manuals, distributor stock status, videos, and distributor locator. Our only improvement here, for some visitors, would be to replicate the datasheet info so that it’s in html right on the site. Heading into FAQs and expecting the typical generalities of other sites, Extech surprises once again with detailed, product-by-product FAQs and even a couple of comm port troubleshooting guides. Still looking for a flaw, here. Ah! Got one! The Software Downloads area requires registration! No, wait. You can click on No, Thanks and access anything freely. This is one extensive software area. The best we’ve seen in awhile. Hey, maybe the search engine sucks. Nope. It works great. Oh, well. Just have to say it: this is about as flawless an industrial site as you’ll find. One thing? Two, actually. Some whitepapers/case studies and online shopping would ice the cake. Extech, you deserve applause.
