The Factory Automation Robotics Division of Epson America, Inc. announced that Geometric Search Tool is now standard on Vision Guide, its popular robot guidance system. The Geometric Search Tool quickly and accurately locates a model -- or multiple models -- at any position under the harshest of conditions.

"The Geometric Search Tool gives Vision Guide users several benefits," said Rick Brookshire, senior manager of product development & engineering for Epson America's Factory Automation Robotics division. "Programming time will decrease because applications that once required multiple tools can now be solved through using only the Geometric Search Tool. This is in keeping with Epson's long history of providing automation solutions that are easy to use. Once in production, most users will see faster overall cycle times because the Geometric Search Tool executes faster than other tools used in the past to accomplish the same tasks. And because it is very robust, the Geometric Search Tool finds parts quickly with full 360 degree rotation as well as parts that are partially obscured."
