New line of NEMA Premium efficiency motors from Siemens Energy & Automation exceed IEEE 841-2001 standards for energy efficiency, performance, and variable speed. Available from 1-400 hp in speeds of 1,200, 1,800 and 3,600 rpm, motor line is constructed with cast iron frames and end shields for exceptional structural integrity.
Offset rotor bar design provides improved efficiency while larger bars and end rings lower losses and reduce resistance. Each die-cast aluminum rotor assembly is also dynamically balanced for extended bearing life.
"Our new line delivers motors specifically designed for long life in severe-environment applications," said John Caroff, Siemens NEMA motor product manager. "The line exceeds the demanding IEEE specification # 841 used by many industrial users in the petroleum, chemical, paper, and utility industries."
Motor line is manufactured with premium electrical grade steel laminations and electrical magnet wire for maximum efficiency. Proprietary inverter-rated Class F non-hydroscopic insulation system with NEMA Class B temperature rise is standard.
Also available are bidirectional, non-sparking fan, regreaseable and oversized bearings with cast iron inner caps, and oversized cast iron conduit box.
