UL-recognized, outdoor-rated current transformers work when input carrying wire or bus bar is routed through center opening. Two secondary lead wires are connected to external burden resistance, and voltage developed across external resistance is proportional to input current. Transformers have silicon/iron alloy core, are rated at 600 V, and come in rectangular and split-core styles. Window opening sizes range from 0.4-8 in. dia. Applications include energy management, submetering, ammeters, and current sensing relays.
