Bosch Rexroth Technology Expert to Present Pneumatic Control Innovations at Fabtech 2008

Lexington, KY : Bosch Rexroth senior market technology expert Thomas Dwyer will make a presentation on Pneumatic Resistance Weld Gun control at the 2008 FABTECH International and AWS Welding Show on as part of the Robotics 101 seminar.

Dwyer’s seminar, Innovation with Pneumatic Control to Improve Performance and Reliability in Modern Robotic Resistance Weld Applications, will focus on the innovations for using pneumatics in resistance welding including Automatic Equalization for electric servo and pneumatic weld gun applications. He will also discuss how it can be applied in the metal fabrication industry and how the characteristics of the applications and solutions presented can be applied in Industrial Automation outside the metal fabrication industry.

“Pneumatics for resistance welding is a common process in a very large sector of the metal fabrication industry,” said Dwyer. “The solutions deliver benefits to both machine builders and end users as well.”

Solution details, application insights and key benefits will be topics in Dwyer’s presentation including an overview of market trends, “bottlenecks”, “change catalysts”, application details, application terms, tip force control innovation, and background on innovation in automatic equalization. Dwyer will also explain what this means to customers in the areas of reducing set-up time, equipment costs, and help with retro fitting.
