Serco presents the Universal Truck-Chock, an automatic wheel chocking system that positively restrains and secures truck trailers with a hydraulically operated, moving wheel chock.
The Universal Truck-Chock solves the challenge of securing trucks with missing or damaged rear impact guards, hydraulic lift gates, or special bumper configurations by positively securing the truck or trailer wheels. The Universal Truck-Chock''s unique design does not impede lift gate operation or interfere with landing gear on pup trailers. The continuous restraining force reduces the probability of landing gear collapse, "trailer creep," or "trailer walk."
The Chock utilizes a flush-mounted, in-ground design, providing no interference for snowplows or drive cleanup, and operates under extreme weather conditions, including flooding, snow, and some driveway debris. The Chock also acts as a guide for the reversing truck, preventing damage to the dock seal or shelter.
The Universal Truck-Chock is as simple to maintain as it is to operate. Self-bleeding hydraulics, self-lubrication, and only two moving parts make the Chock virtually maintenance free. The Universal Truck-Chock is operated by a simple, push-button control panel. Once the truck is in position, the Chock is activated by the dock attendant using the interior control panel. Upon activation, the Chock rises from its stored position and moves toward the dock until it snugs up against the truck tire, securing the truck in position.
