H2 adjustable speed drive family, fully tested during design phase and verified at each step in manufacturing process, targets reliability, ease of use, and superior performance. Combinations of in-circuit testing, functional testing of each subassembly, and full-load testing of final product ensure integrity and value. Initially available in 1-60 hp, H2 drives will eventually be available from 1-450 hp. Baldor will custom design units through 1500 hp.

Ease of use exceeds manufacturer's previous harmonized drives with larger graphical display added to standard keypad to increase functionality of operator control. In addition to multiple lines of display, selectable text sizes, and familiar programming style, new keypad offers more keys and faster navigation with directional arrows and enhanced soft programming keys. Extensive diagnostic information is available with new error logging and help text features. Point-and-click operation is available from desktop PC using either supplied H2 Workbench® application program, or from anywhere in the world with connection to Ethernet Server expansion board.

High performance applications are aided with Volts/Hertz Inverter, Encoderless Vector, Closed Loop Vector, or AC Servo motor control selections. Input/output expansion can be field installed using up to two of numerous available expansion boards. Bus communication boards are available for popular PLCs, including DeviceNet, Profibus, and Lonworks, in addition to Ethernet Server board and Mint® expansion board. Designed for positioning applications and special programming, Mint® offers standalone and coordinated motion operations while providing flexibility in overall machine control.
