Acrylic Photopolymer Resin Aids Visualization of Details

VeroBlue™ acrylic photopolymer resin for Objet Geometries' Eden333 PolyJet system has improved mechanical properties over the original transparent resin. Customarily measured mechanical property values of VeroBlue are better than or equal to the original resin, with improvements in tensile strength, flexural strength, notched impact strength, and compression strength ratings.

The opaque, colored material allows users to see more detail than a transparent model allows, improving edge and fine-feature visualization; 16 micron (0.0006 in.) resolution is achievable. Blue is the first in a series of colored resins to be developed, with white resin to follow. Colored material is helpful in making models that look like an injection-molded part without the need for paint.

Changeover steps from transparent resin to VeroBlue take less than 15 minutes. Steps include replacing the material cartridge and following an automated "wizard" setup process at the workstation.
