Ultrasonic Thickness Gages measure accurately when access to the opposite surface is difficult

The OLYMPUS Models 35/35DL Ultrasonic Thickness Gages make accurate and repeatable thickness measurements on metal, plastic, glass, rubber, or composite parts that have only one side accessible. Typical applications include enclosed containers such as bottles or large and inaccessible surfaces where micrometers are ineffective. These Olympus gages can also calculate and display Material Sound Velocity or Time-of-Flight to determine material characteristics. Measurements are instantly displayed as large numerals on the backlit display, and gages are ergonomically designed for ease of operation.

An important benefit of these lightweight gages is their versatility: they can make very accurate thickness measurements on many materials in a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and geometries. Plastic can be measured down to 0.003 in. (0.08mm). Their resolution is up to 0.0001 in. (0.001 mm). Application Auto-Recall allows the operator to select and recall any of the stored standard or custom transducer setups in the gage’s memory. This permits easy switching among a variety of contact, delay line, and immersion transducers to solve an almost infinite number of measurement problems. In addition, a host of other features such as Alarm Mode and Differential Mode make the 35 and 35DL ideal gages for many difficult applications.

The 35DL includes a file-based alphanumeric internal data logger that allows the operator to store, recall, and transmit thickness measurements with Identification Codes.
