Kadant Johnson’s RX rotary union for water and thermal oil applications connects stationary piping to a rotating device. The RX union is the only rotary union available today that includes an isolation barrier in the seal chamber to protect bearings from fluid contamination. Other features include stainless steel springs located outside the flow area and an integral flange for quick installation.
Designed from the ground up for tough applications, the RX union features the latest technology in mechanical seal design including on-machine seal replacement for reduced downtime and a tungsten carbide counterseat for added toughness.
The RX union is available in sizes from 3/8 to 6 in. and in single- or dual-flow configurations. The union is rated up to 500°F, 200 psig, and 3,500 rpm.
